Join the fight to end hunger and tackle food waste in Greater Manchester.
FareShare Greater Manchester is the largest redistributor of food waste in the Greater Manchester region. Furthermore, we are an independent charity that relies entirely on donations and grants to keep us doing the work that we do. FareShare GM receives no statutory funding so your support to us is vital.
When you donate to us, you are joining the fight against food waste and hunger, providing vital meals to vulnerable people across Greater Manchester.
We can do a lot with a little at FareShare Greater Manchester as well. Every pound that you donate helps us provide four meals for people in need across Greater Manchester, such as:
- funding a child’s breakfast at a breakfast club;
- providing a hot meal for a homeless person, or also a;
- lunch at an elderly person’s lunch club.
Donating just £10 a month allows us to provide 480 meals to vulnerable people across Greater Manchester.

Give more with Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving, also known as Give As You Earn, is an easy, convenient and tax-effective way to make a regular donation, so it costs you less to give more.
The first step is to check with your employer to make sure that your company offers Payroll Giving. If they do speak to them about who you’d like to support and they can arrange it through your salary for you. The money will be automatically donated from your salary on a monthly basis.
If your employer does not currently offer Payroll Giving, you can write to them and encourage them to set one up. To set up a Payroll Giving scheme, your organisation will need to register with an approved Payroll Giving agency.
