Get involved to help us in the fight against hunger and food waste in Greater Manchester.

Food Poverty today is on the rise across the country, and the story is no different in Greater Manchester. Over 620,000 people in Greater Manchester are living in poverty, including 180,000 children and young people, meaning that food insecurity and hunger are a shocking yet normal part of everyday life for thousands of individuals across the region every day.

At FareShare Greater Manchester we are dedicated to fighting hunger and food waste, redistributing quality surplus food to over 220 charities and community groups across the region to ensure that meals are provided to those who need them most.

Find out below how you can support us through donating money to us, fundraising for us, becoming a corporate partner or joining us in our Together We Can: 7 Million Meals campaign. Your support will help us to continue to provide schools, charities and community groups with vital meals for those who need them most.

Every pound you donate helps us provide four meals for people in need across Greater Manchester.

The food waste hierarchy calls for food to feed people first

Food companies are legally obliged to use food to feed people before sending to anaerobic digestion or for animal feed. We help them use their surplus to feed people first.
